Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 and 3/4 Cups Cake Flour, sift before measuring
- 2 Teaspoons Double-Acting Baking Powder
- 3 Egg Yolks
- 1 and 1/2 Cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 7 Tablespoons Butter, melted
- 3 Egg Whites
Instructions
Resift the flour with the salt, baking powder and sugar. Beat the egg yolks well and add the butter and milk, mixing well. Make a hole in the center of the sifted ingredients and pour in the liquid ingredients. Combine them with a few swift strokes. The batter should have a pebbled look. Beat the egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Fold the egg whites into the batter until they are barely blended.
